| 新型冠状病毒肺炎（以下简称新冠肺炎）疫情发生以来，湖南省各定点医疗机构坚持中西医并重，协同作战，及时科学高效救治病人。目前，湖南省新冠肺炎病人治愈率居全国前列，而且病死率低，重症患者人数逐步减少。湖南省新冠肺炎中医医疗救治专家组组长陈新宇教授就此次中医药在湖南省新冠肺炎防治工作中的重要作用，从如何去做、做了什么、为什么要这样做三个方面进行了介绍，既主动作为，全面参与，又因地制宜，形成适合湖南省的防治方案，既与时俱进，应用现代化手段诊疗患者，又发挥中医药治未病的传统优势。并思考了湖南中医抗疫效果显著的原因就在于坚持与发挥了中医自身的特点与优势：未病先治与既病防变充分结合，坚持一人一策，一人一方，专家施治，精准施策。 |

| Initiatives and Deliberation of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Fighting against COVID-19 in Hunan Province |

| Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the designated healthcare facilities in Hunan province have attached equal importance to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Western medicine, developing an efficacious and efficient regimen to treat patients in a timely manner. Currently, the high cure rate of COVID-19 patients in Hunan province is in a leading position in China, with low mortality rate and gradually decreased severe illnesses patients. Professor CHEN Xinyu, head of TCM expert group on fighting against COVID-19 in Hunan province, gave a presentation about the role of TCM in fighting against COVID-19, including three perspectives:how, what and why. The proper diagnosis and treatment plan in Huan province were formed by subjective initiative, full participation and adjusting measures to local conditions. Advancing with the times, the patients were diagnosed and treated with modern methods, and the traditional advantages of TCM in preventive treatment of disease were also played. Thinking about the reasons for the remarkable effect of TCM against COVID-19 in Hunan province are that adhering to and exerting the characteristics and advantages of TCM itself:preventing the onset of disease and preventing symptoms from getting worse, offering personalized treatment for every patient, involving expert in each process, and applying treatment scheme that befits specific situation. |
