| Standardization of the English Translation of TCM Terminology from the Cultural Perspective |

| Abstract: |
| (Abstracts The relationship among language, culture and translation was analyzed. The
English translation strategies of TCM terminology were studied basing on an analysis of
its cultural characteristics. Five translation methods were summarized which can push ahead the
standardization of the English translation of TCM Terminology. Making good use of five
translation methods mentioned in the text, well preserving the cultural characteristics of TCM and
exploring its cultural connotation in the process of English translation of TCM terminology can
promote its standardization. |
