| 真实世界研究作为循证医学的重要研究范式，在中医药领域的应用日益广泛，但当前中医药期刊在处理此类稿件时普遍缺乏针对性的编辑规范。本研究通过系统梳理国内外真实世界研究的核心概念、方法学要求及报告标准，结合中医药“辨证论治”和“个体化诊疗”的学科特点，构建了“中医药真实世界研究论文编辑审查检查清单”，其中包含研究问题与设计、数据来源与质量、中医药特色要素、统计分析与结果解释4个维度，共19个审查条目。本研究重点关注基于真实世界数据开展的观察性真实世界研究，此类研究具有3个主要特征，即数据来源于临床实践而非专门为研究目的收集、研究在真实临床环境中开展、研究者通常不主动分配干预措施；同时通过8个典型案例深入剖析了编辑审查中的常见问题，包括研究类型误标、数据提取过程不透明、混杂因素未控制、辨证标准缺失等。该框架可为中医药期刊编辑在初审筛选、送审决策和质量把关各环节提供条目化的操作参考，有助于将依赖个人经验的审查过程转化为规范化的质量把关流程，也可为研究者在设计和报告阶段提供规范参照，推动中医药真实世界研究的整体质量提升。 |

| Exploration and practice of editorial standards for real-world studies in Chinese medicine journals |

| Abstract: |
| Real-world study (RWS), as an important research paradigm in evidence-based medicine, has been increasingly applied in the field of Chinese medicine (TCM). However, TCM journals currently lack targeted editorial guidelines for handling manuscripts of this type. By systematically reviewing the core concepts, methodological requirements, and reporting standards of RWS both domestically and internationally, and by integrating the discipline characteristics of TCM such as "treatment based on pattern differentiation" as well as "individualized diagnosis and treatment", this study developed an Editorial Review Checklist for Manuscripts Reporting TCM Real-world Studies. The checklist comprises four dimensions: research question and design, data sources and quality, TCM-specific elements, and statistical analysis and interpretation of results, and includes 19 review items. This study focuses on observational RWS conducted based on real-world data, which has three key characteristics: data are derived from clinical practice rather than collected specifically for research purposes; studies are conducted in real-world clinical settings; and investigators typically do not actively assign interventions. Meanwhile, eight typical cases are adopted to conduct an in-depth analysis of common issues in editorial review, including mislabeling of research types, non-transparency in data extraction, failure to control confounding factors, and absence of pattern differentiation criteria. This framework can provide itemized operational references for TCM journal editors throughout initial screening, peer-review assignment, and quality control. It can help transform the experience-dependent editorial review into a standardized quality control procedure. In addition, it may serve as a normative reference for researchers during the research designing and reporting, thereby contributing to the overall quality improvement of RWS in TCM. |
